voptica is a spin-off of the Laboratorio de Óptica de la Universidad de Murcia (LO•UM), a world leader University-based research laboratory in Visual, Adaptive and Biomedical Optics.

Prof. Pablo Artal, head of the LO•UM and founder of voptica, is leading a highly specialized team of researchers with the aim to develop new optical technology to change the current paradigms of visual testing and correction used by clinicians worldwide.

voptica is developing a Binocular Adaptive Optics Visual Simulator (bAOVS). The founders of voptica invented the concept of visual simulation based on adaptive optics. Now, the company is focused to extend the success of this technology from the laboratory to the global market to improve the quality of vision of every patient.
